Corrosion resistance provided by rubber products is integral to a wide variety of fields.
Rubber linings with superior corrosion resistance properties are used in the interiors of storage tanks, reaction vessels and piping for acids, alkalis and other chemicals in the soda industry, chemical plants, water treatment (pure water production, waste water treatment), fuel gas desulfurization, steel manufacturing, power industry, food industry and more.
Rubber gaskets are used to hold ion exchange membranes in the soda industry and are excellent for protecting against corrosion from chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, etc.
In addition, compression diaphragms are also used for solid-liquid separation in wastewater treatment facilities for general chemical plants. |

What are rubber linings? |
Rubber linings are a type of "superior", "stable" and "economical" corrosion resistance material used in high temperature, high concentration, high pressure, vacuum and various other conditions in chemical plants, water purification equipment, the soda industry, fuel gas desulfurization equipment, power, mining, plating, vehicle, steel, food and all other industrial fields where corrosion and abrasion are issues.

[ Rubber lining characteristics ] |
Rubber linings have the below characteristics.
■ |
Superior corrosion resistance
|
|
Rubber is electrochemically inert, and has corrosion resistant properties in a wide range of inorganic and organic compounds.
There are also synthetic rubbers which can resist chemicals with strong oxidizing properties and organic solvents. |
■ |
Superior abrasion resistance |
|
Flexible rubbers with high elasticity have superior abrasion resistance properties for liquids which contain solid content. |
■ |
High strength adhesion with underlying metals |
|
Appropriate selection of adhesives can produce adhesive strength which is so strong that the rubber layer can break. |
■ |
Highly reliable for construction |
|
In general, unvulcanized rubber which has highly flexible plasticity, is affixed to a metal body, it can be affixed securely for even complex shapes. |
■ |
Defects can be reliably detected
|
|
Pinholes, cracks and other defects can be easily and reliably detected through electrical methods (pinhole inspection). |
■ |
Hard rubber can be machine processed
|
|
When using hard rubber, machine processing can be used to reliably produce lining surface dimensions. |
■ |
On-site lining construction can be carried out at the tank installation site
|
|
Lining construction work is possible at the installation site for large tanks and there are no restrictions on equipment dimensions for the construction. |
■ |
Linings can also be applied to concrete
|
|
Rubber linings can be applied to not just metal, but also concrete. |

What is a filter press? |
Filtration is using cloth or paper to separate "solids and liquids". A filter press is a type of diversified filtering equipment and is characterized by its simple and easy to handle structure. Some examples are the "pressure filtration equipment" and "solid-liquid separation equipment", etc. which are the most used types in manufacturing processes as standard draining treatment equipment. |
Filter press diaphragm sheet |
Our company has supplied filter press diaphragm sheets to filter press manufacturers throughout Japan for many years. Filter presses are used in diverse industrial fields and public facility fields, and a variety of characteristics for diaphragm sheets, including corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance, oil resistance and solvent resistance, are demanded according to usage conditions such as liquid type and temperature and solid type and particle size, etc. |
